
The hackathon is about assembling women software developers or hackers from South Africa and other African countries to unite in solving humanity problems specifically problems affecting women through technology.
The theme of the hackathon in 2016 is developing solutions for the youth. Young people are a major human resource for development, often acting as key agents for social change, economic expansion and innovation. Their imagination, ideals, energy and vision are essential for the continuous development of society
Team members will be the minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 in one team.
The objective is to encourage team work in solving or addressing opportunities or challenges.
Registration date will be opened from the 15th of January 2016 till end of October 2016
The participants will submit their thesis (one page).
All participants will bring their computers and sleeping bags. Participants show organize their own accommodation. The cortex Hub will provide Internet connectivity, food and snacks for the duration of the hackathon.
